Today we launched the first phase of TuffWerx listings. For the first time, listings created with TuffWerx will be accessible to view on TuffWerx.com. This marks the first step in making TuffWerx a player in both FINDING and SELLING equipment. Our vision is to make TuffWerx a Triple-A player in this market and we are working as hard as ever towards that goal.
If you’re already using TuffWerx to create listings, all you have to do is click ‘Publish Item’ when your item is ready for public view. This feature also frees you from having to use eBay. In fact, having an eBay account is no longer a requirement.
Keep checking back. We’ve got a new homepage in the works that will highlight the fact that TuffWerx can now be used to find equipment.
I’m excited about some of the new features we are working on for you, but I don’t want to lift the veil just yet. Just know that everything we do is to aimed at helping you get your equipment sold as easily and painlessly as possible.

Today, TuffWerx is primarily an eBay solution. As we grow our brand, we are planning on diversifying to other channels as well as becoming our own channel. To that end, a new version of TuffWerx was released today that re-arranges some existing functionality in order to separate eBay specific features into their own section. We have not removed any existing functionality, but if you are wondering where the Listing Defaults went, take a look at the new Ebay Settings section.
There are a few new features with this release as well:
- Support for eBay Stores - If you have an eBay store you will be provided the ability to select one of your store categories to list your item into.
- Lower Reserve - Once an item has bids, eBay restricts the changes that can be made to an item. eBay allows lowering the reserve price of such items, under certain restrictions. We now support that ability. This ability was introduced at your request.
- Support for 21 day eBay Motors listings.
As always, we’d love to hear from you. Let us know how we can serve you better. Drop us a line tell us how we’re doing.

Just a quick note today. Based on your requests we’ve rolled out a few small new features:
- Support for Private Auctions
- Support for Photo Re-ordering. Just drag and drop your photos in the order you want them.
- A new “Copy Item” action. This allows you to duplicate an existing item without having to re-enter any information. Even photos are copied.
Enjoy!

Happy New Year! We’re kicking off the year with some good news for you. First, we’ve heard you and we’ve lowered our pricing again! Secondly, we’ve just added three new listing templates.
For capital equipment listings, we now charge only $9.95 for new listings. Relists, as always, are free (eBay fees may still apply). We’ve done some pricing homework and done some comparisons to other online heavy equipment services. Folks, we are now priced significantly less than any of the competition while providing more features. Dollar for dollar, feature for feature, nobody can touch us.
We’re also striving to improve our offering by adding new features. Today, we just launched a release that contains three new listing templates. These professionally designed templates will help your listings stand out from the crowd. We can also do custom templates designed just for you. We will provide this service to you at our cost.
At your request, you now have the ability to override your default settings for listing upgrades, listing duration, and even listing template. This should make your lives easier when wanting to make changes to these fields for individual listings.
We’ve got some big new features planned for you this year. Watch this blog for TuffWerx updates.
The economy might be hurting, but we’re doing our best to make this a great year for all of you.
Thanks again for your business.

TuffWerx is proud to announce the completion of our new TuffWerx “Virtual Showroom” that will enable our customers to more effectively take control of advertising new inventory on their own corporate websites. In addition, TuffWerx has created a new pricing structure to help customers listing a high volume of equipment do so more cost effectively.
At your request, we have created a system that will allow you to display your TuffWerx inventory on your own website! We’re calling this our “Virtual Showroom.” Any changes or additions you make to your inventory in TuffWerx is immediately reflected in your Virtual Showroom on your website. The Virtual Showroom showcases all inventory you want display. Your prospects can then view the detail of each item, using the same listing templates we use on eBay, all without leaving your website! Lead generation is also built into the Virtual Showroom providing a simple way for prospects to request more information about specific equipment. Never before has it been so simple for a customer with limited technical or IT resources to consistently update their own website with new for-sale opportunities.
More details can be found on our Features page.
Thank you for allowing us to continue to serve the heavy equipment market and we welcome any feedback that you may have to allow us to continue to create more tools that will increase your sales.

- Do you insure, inspect, warrant, finance, or transport construction or agricultural equipment?
- Are you interested in working with an innovative company that will revolutionize the way heavy equipment is bought and sold online?
- Do you see more equipment being sold online and wish you could connect with the buyers to present your services and demonstrate how customer driven you are?
- Are you a leader in your field?
If you answered yes to ALL of these questions you qualify to become a “TuffWerx Strategic Service Partner”. TuffWerx understands that its success depends on its ability to serve its customers. This is where you come in. In order to improve our service offering for our customers, we are looking to join forces with inspection, insurance, warranty, finance, and transportation providers to help complete the sales cycle of an equipment transaction. As worldwide demand increases for heavy equipment, the ability to inspect, insure, warrant, finance, and transport becomes crucial to an end user.
TuffWerx is looking for the best equipment service companies in these sectors to integrate into the TuffWerx application. Because we are a customer-based organization, that is what we expect in our strategic partners. Some features that our development team are working on would include, unbiased rating systems for your services, the ability to call or request instant information or quotes, and the ability to highlight your customer offering on our quickly growing site. Additionally, a seller could select you as a preferred service provider and information about your company will be included that seller’s listings.
We look forward to working with you and learning more about your business.

As we enter our second month of operations, TuffWerx continues to provide feature enhancements to create more business relationships and equipment sales for our customers. Because of our primary mission statement, “customers first”, we have prioritized our customer features, including: simplicity with creating your new accounts, speed of photo uploads, technical specifications for integrations with new sales channels, ability to send listings to other channels such as craigslist.com, creating dealer showrooms, and our “Dealer Associate” program to supercede completion of our billing system. This means, simply put, that our customers will continue to create FREE listings with the TuffWerx application until we complete our “customer first” features.
Also, as discussed in our previous post, TuffWerx is open to new ideas to make this a positive experience for both buying and selling heavy equipment. All ideas are welcome and the longer we can spend working on customer features the less time we can spend finishing our billing system.
Finally, Tuffwerx looks to spread the word in the community and meet sellers of heavy equipment to show them what we can offer. Because of this, we welcome any information on events in your area in which TuffWerx should participate.

The TuffWerx team is proud to announce the launch of TuffWerx, a new tool that will allow you, the heavy equipment and parts dealer, to create feature and photo rich listings at a price point that we’re confident you’ll think is too good to be true.
At TuffWerx, we understand that you have better things to do than to spend hours of your valuable time creating marketing and advertising copy for your equipment. The TuffWerx application was designed to be simple for anyone to use. Once your account is set up, five minutes is all it takes to create visually rich listings, giving prospective buyers added confidence with your “for sale” inventory.
We know that websites alone don’t sell equipment. That is accomplished by building relationships. One of the most prominent features of Tuffwerx is our ability to capture lead information from prospective buyers which is delivered to you in real-time. We send you enough information for you to contact the prospective buyer as well as data that you can use to determine the quality of the lead.
Click here for information on all our current features.
This gives you a small sample of what Tuffwerx has to offer. Request an account now and create your first listings on us to see how simple we are to use.
We will be adding new posts periodically detailing our musings on the industry and detailing upcoming new features. Most importantly, this space will be used to communicate with you and ask for your feedback on how to better serve you. Contact us to let us know how to improve our product and we will be more than happy to send out the “Official 2008 Tuffwerx Bag O’ Schwag” for your trouble.
Tuffwerx looks forward to serving you soon!
